Fishers Arrest Records by Custodian
Fishers Police handle municipal enforcement, while adults taken into custody get booked at Hamilton County Jail in Noblesville, run by the Sheriff's Office. The split matters. FPD keeps its own arrest detail and incident material. Jail staff produce the admission record, photo, booking number, bond entries, and custody data. Indiana requires an intake photograph at admission, though the rule doesn't promise those images stay posted forever.
The 2020 Census put Fishers at 98,977 residents, per U.S. Census QuickFacts. That placed it second in Hamilton County, just behind Carmel. It's context, not an arrest rate. To confirm identity, match name, booking date, arresting agency, and docket details. Keep in mind the call location, the person's home city, the arresting agency, and the jail can all be different places.
Fishers Busted Mugshot Channels
The Hamilton County inmate portal is the one official source for booking photos. Fishers has no city mugshot feed of its own. The police department does post a Daily Incident Call Log. That log lists activity, not jail admissions. News outlets and commercial sites trail the official channels here, since their dates, names, and details often run stale or incomplete.
| Channel | Photo | Authority | Use |
|---|---|---|---|
| Hamilton County inmate portal | Shown when available | Official jail | Booking and custody search |
| Fishers Daily Incident Call Log | No verified photo function | Official police activity | A call lead, not proof of arrest |
| FPD Records Unit | Ask for releasable image | Official city | Adult arrest or incident record |
| MyCase | Not a mugshot source | Official court access | Filed case and disposition |
| News and commercial county pages | Selective or copied | Secondary | Discovery only |
Several aggregators cover the area. Busted Newspaper, Recently Booked, Mugshots.com, Arrests.org, and Mugshots.zone all run Hamilton County pages that may include Fishers names. None are linked, because this project skips commercial aggregator URLs. Treat anything found there as a lead only. Verify against the county portal and the court before trusting it.
Who Was Busted in Fishers
The county search offers filters for name, subject number, booking number, custody status, booking dates, and housing facility. "In Custody" is checked by default. Leave it on to see who's held right now. Clear it and set dates when someone may have bonded out, been released, or moved to another facility. The county publishes no guaranteed update interval and no complete online retention period.
- Search the official roster by full name, then narrow with a known booking or subject number.
- Use a same-day or multi-day date range. Clear In Custody when the search should include released people.
- Compare the booking date, photograph, and arresting agency. Do not rely on name alone.
- Open the detail for bond, court, charge, and docket fields. Record the identifiers without filling blank fields from elsewhere.
- Call Hamilton County Jail at 317-776-9800 for urgent custody confirmation, then use MyCase or the clerk for the outcome.
Hamilton County offers no official "today," 48-hour, 72-hour, or weekly booking gallery. You build those windows yourself with the roster's date filters. Results show what the portal exposes, not a certified arrest log. For the full filter set and custody stages, see the county booking and roster treatment.
Note: A missing result may stem from spelling, processing delays, a transfer, release, withholding, or the portal's own visibility limits.
Fishers Police Records Process
The FPD Records Unit handles police reports and local criminal records under Indiana retention schedules. Requests go through the department's online records form. General Order 53 demands written requests identifying the record with reasonable detail. Include the adult's full name, an approximate date, the location, and a case number. You can ask for the adult arrest detail, a probable-cause affidavit, the public portion of the incident record, and any image the agency may lawfully release.
Revised March 27, 2025, General Order 53 splits acknowledgment from production. In-person requests get acknowledged within 24 hours, others within seven days. Production follows in a reasonable time. The order permits specified adult arrest material with personal data redacted, and it lets the agency withhold active-investigation material. The county jail photo isn't promised, so request that image separately from sheriff Records.

Don't merge the police report with the booking record. FPD documents the call, the investigation, and the arrest. The jail documents admission. MyCase and the Hamilton County Clerk hold the filed charges and whatever the court later decides.
Fishers Call Log Is Not Booking
Fishers publishes its own Power BI Daily Incident Call Log. It is useful, but narrow. An entry can show a dispatch or a police response, and nothing beyond that. Calls sometimes end with no arrest at all. Other times an arrest grows out of an investigation that a call label never reveals.
Think of three records sitting side by side. The call log tracks police activity. General Order 53 governs how FPD releases public material. Hamilton County's portal carries the photo-bearing jail intake. Dates or case numbers may overlap across them, yet each record does its own job. The call log is never an arrest blotter, a booking feed, or a mugshot gallery.
One more caution. The county's separate Daily Incidents page refreshes every five to seven minutes and holds a 31-day window. That cadence belongs to the sheriff calls product alone. It cannot be borrowed for the Fishers log or the jail roster.
Fishers Juvenile Record Boundaries
Fishers draws a sharp line around juvenile material. General Order 53 keeps juvenile arrest and detention information from release except to the youth or a guardian, and even then with redactions. Indiana court-access rules wall off major juvenile case types too. So skip any hunt for a juvenile booking photo. A record does not open up, or vanish, simply because someone turns 18.
Adult records carry their own limits. Personal data, victims, an active investigation, a sealing order, or an expungement can force redaction or withholding. A granted Indiana expungement often restricts access rather than destroying every agency file. When access has changed, cite the exact court order and record identifier in your request to the custodian.
That boundary is one reason a commercial page cannot outrank FPD, the jail, or the clerk. Continued display by a secondary publisher proves nothing about current custody or a pending charge.
When Fishers Busted Photos Appear
Indiana requires jail staff to photograph every person at admission. Hamilton County posts those photos in its official results when available. No published schedule covers the gap between a Fishers arrest and online display. Processing comes first. Search by date with In Custody both checked and cleared, give intake time to finish, and call the jail when current status truly matters.
A results entry can show name, subject number, gender, and a scheduled release date. Detail pages may add booking origin, prisoner type, bond, charge descriptions, arresting agency, docket, court dates, and release information. Not every admission shows a photo. Technical issues, withholding, sealed status, or plain record differences all create exceptions.
The sheriff warns that the data changes constantly and is not warranted as current. A roster photo shows intake, nothing else. When MyCase lacks a document, or online sources disagree, follow the docket through the Hamilton County Clerk.
Fishers Busted Mugshots in News
Fishers news is event-driven rather than a standing arrest roll. The Current Fishers stream posts city stories, while WRTV's Hamilton County desk covers public-safety events countywide. Hamilton County Reporter and regional television crime desks pick up selected cases. An image in a story might be a social photo, a scene shot, an evidence still, or a booking photo. Trust only the label the source gives it.
To move from a story to the record, note the agency, the event date, the full name, and the case number. Then check the roster for intake, request the police material from FPD, and use MyCase for the court sequence. The county crime-news page compares those outlets.
Current has also covered Fishers' use of automatic license-plate readers since 2021, with images auto-deleted after 30 days. Plate images are investigative location records, not booking photos. They say nothing about who was booked.
Fishers Custody Sources Compared
The first stop depends on custody. A just-booked adult may appear in Hamilton County's roster. A released person needs In Custody cleared plus a date range. Someone sentenced into Indiana state custody belongs in the IDOC incarcerated database, not a Fishers recent-arrest search. Federal and immigration custody each use their own federal locators. Keep these custody states separate.
- Booking
- The jail's administrative intake, including identity, custody data, fingerprints, and a photograph.
- Bond
- A court-set condition that can permit release while the case continues.
- Disposition
- The court's outcome, such as dismissal, plea, acquittal, or conviction.
- Transfer
- A move from the county jail to another custodian, which can change where current status appears.
Hamilton County Jail holds several populations at once. Local pretrial detainees sit alongside some county-sentenced people, those awaiting state placement, and certain U.S. Marshals Service pretrial prisoners. Read the prisoner type, arresting agency, and court fields before drawing any conclusion from a single roster entry.
